  2. Role and function of insulation in electric power system
  3. International standard and code of electrical insulation:
    • o Hazardous area classification
  4. o Non-hazardous area classification
  5. Characteristic of dielectric materials
  6. Interaction between dielectric material with electric field based on type of insulation material; gas, liquid, and solid
  7. Stress, penetration stress and penetration probability, stress-time curve, and insulation coordination
  8. The Use of insulator and level of insulation for:
    • o Electrical equipment
    • o Cables
    • o Transformer
    • o Electric motor
    • o Generator
    • o Circuit breaker, etc
  9. Characteristic of various insulators :
    • o SF6
    • o Vacuum
    • o Gas,
    • o Composite, etc
  10.  Measurement and diagnostic of dielectric, and insulator testing
  11. Maintenance of electrical equipment isolation
  12. Case study
