PENDAHULUAN :

Umumnya komponen yang digunakan dalam konstruksi mesin dan peralatan adalah komponen transmisi, seperti: bantalan, sabuk dan puli,  rantai, kopling, dan roda gigi. Setelah mesin dipakai dalam selang waktu tertentu maka keausan yang terjadi karena beberapa faktor menyebabkan kerusakan komponen-komponen pada mesin. Misal, pada mesin perkakas terjadi deformasi karena gaya pemotongan dapat menimbulkan gejala gerakan yang tersendat-sendat (stick-slip) pada gerakan pindah berbagai komponen, menimbulkan keadaan getaran paksa dan kesalahan dinamik pada konstruksi mesin perkakas.

Bagi perawat mesin yang tidak tanggap dan tidak ahli, kerusakan yang kecil pun bisa menjadi sumber frustasi dan mungkin pula dapat menambah parahnya kerusakan. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan tim perawat yang ahli. Tim perawat bisa terlibat pula sewaktu diadakan instalasi mesin baru, tes penerimaan mesin, perawatan preventif dan rekalibrasi mesin perkakas.

Untuk mendukung sistem produksi yang memadai diperlukan tenaga kerja yang handal atau peningkatan keahlian tenaga kerja profesi Perawatan dan Perbaikan Komponen Mesin (Maintenance of Machine Components).

 

MANFAAT YANG DIPEROLEH:

Membekali peserta tentang wawasan dan pengetahuan perawatan atau penanganan terhadap kerusakan komponen-komponen mesin dan pengujian ketelitian geometrik mesin menurut standarisasi internasional.
